U.S. Blockade on Cuba despite World Demand

When there are a few hours left for the General United Nation Assembly makes the announcement about the necessary elimination of the failed policy of the Washington´s blockade on Cuba, there are many voices of the international community that ratify their rejection against that economic, trade and financial trade.

As it happens each year since 1992, the upcoming November 1st, the 193 state members of the UN will vote about resolution project to favor the end of the economic blockade applied by the United States against Cuba for over fifty years.

The document highlights that the main obstacle for the nation´s development is the pointless politics carried out by successive U.S. governments as there have not been a remaining unaffected sector as a consequence of it in Cuba.

All the related data show that a majority of the U.S. citizens and even a wide sector of the Cuban emigration favor the normalization of the bilateral relations and even at the U.S. Congress, which turned into law the U.S. regulations of that economic blockade, there was a growing opposition against that policy.

The current scenery is very complex and featured by the aggressiveness that has been used by the current ruler of the White House to talk about Cuba. This year, the vote will be carried out on a context featured by the intensification of the U.S. blockade which were announced by the government of the president, Donald Trump since last June 16th.

As had been announced on the Website of the Cuban foreign council ministry, the ministry of Foreign Affairs is already in New York City. He will be attending to the presentation and vote of the bill entitled ´Necesidad de poner fin al bloqueo económico, commercial y financiero por los Estados Unidos de América contra Cuba.´ (The need about ending the economic, trade and financial blockade imposed by the United States of America on Cuba).

Cuba will continue having the overwhelming support of the international community, including some sectors of the U.S. society which demand the complete elimination of that policy in spite of the United States’ government ignores the world demand, besides, that nation lacks of any logical procedure to keep such rejected polity, internationally.
