HAVANA, Cuba.- The Rome Circle of the Italy-Cuba National Friendship Association called on Wednesday to participate in a campaign aimed at demanding the immediate return to their homeland of the five Cuban antiterrorists unfairly condemned in the US.

Marco Papacci, coordinating secretary of the Italian Committee of Justice for The Five, told ACN that this event is organized in the Italian capital on the fifth of every month, with the purpose of raising people’s awareness with respect to this case, and adding to it the thousands of tourists visiting that city.

He pointed out that at the Piazza del Popolo in Roma, starting from 12 midnight on February 4, fliers on the current situation of Gerardo Hernandez, Ramon Labañino, Fernando Gonzalez, Antonio Guerrero and Rene Gonzalez will be distributed.

Every month, the Italy-Cuba National Friendship Association sends US President Barack Obama letters, e-mail messages and others by way of social networks to demand the return of these five heroes to their country.
