Acosta Danza, a company directed by first dancer Carlos Acosta, will perform February 13-24 at the Linbury Theater, stage of the Royal Opera House in London, United Kingdom.
The show, called Acosta Danza Up Close, is made up of works by Cuban and international choreographers, Lester Vila Pereira, Acosta Danza's press director, reported.
The British Royal Opera House has celebrated the company for its "distinctive repertoire that combines national and international styles in technique, choreography and music" and features dancers considered among the best in Cuba.
Acosta Danza, since its stage debut, has the aim of performing dance shows in full agreement with the most current concepts in the world, not only in terms of body movement but also in everything related to the stage.
The dance group defines itself as a space for renovation, research and experimentation, not only for Cuban artists, but also opens doors to creators from all over the world, choreographers, musicians, designers, plastic and audiovisual artists.
