HAVANA, Cuba. - Abdelmalek Sellal, Water Resources Minister of Algeria, praised this Monday the professionalism of Cuban technicians in this sector during their cooperation in the African country.
In a meeting with Cuban Ambassador Eumelio Caballero, both officials reviewed the current situation of the bilateral relations and especially the cooperation in the water sector, reported the Cuban Foreign Ministry’s website.
The Minister expressed his country’s interest into continuing strengthening the cooperation and exchange between the two countries.
Meanwhile the Cuban diplomat said the Caribbean nation was willing to increase significantly the relations in this sector, which vital for Algeria’s agricultural development.
Caballero underscored Cuba’s interest for the knowledge acquired by Algerian experts in the use and treatment of underground waters.
The ample experience of the Caribbean nation in the building and maintenance of reservoirs have allowed the Cuban Técnica Hidráulica S.A. company to win several contracts in the African nation.
