Animal Health Preserved in Ciego de Ávila

Ciego de Ávila, Cuba.- To preserve the animal health and decrease of the parameters of mortality in the Cuban province of Ciego de Ávila are priorities of the doctors and technical veterinarians.
To carry out the aforementioned type of job, the territory has 595 specialists that offer the veterinarian services in different enterprises and institutions as well as in the local Popular Councils of the 10 municipalities that enable to fulfill the programs of this type devised for each species.
The veterinary services have shown progresses such as the technical supply in all the entities, the training and updating of the technical work force on the proper work of different species as well as the preventive work and surveillance, especially in the case of the local livestock.
Rafael Agramante Martínez, who is the provincial director of the veterinary services, expressed for this digital space that the territory achieved to decrease the source of the pig cholera.
In Cuba, the first experiments carried out in order to include the learning process of the veterinary medicine dates back to 1857 when it was recommended, without any success, the creation of a school dedicated to the teaching of that specialty in the nation by the local Amigos del País Economic Society.
