Quivicán, Mayabeque.- The workers of the 19 de Abril Factory of Canning products, which is located in Quivicán town as part of the Mayabeque municipality, reached the more than 200 tons of concentrated-tomato paste which constitutes a guarantee for both the food program and the imports substitution program of the nation.
“The working commitment of its 78 workers consist in producing up to 500 tons to conclude the vegetable campaign of recollection that is planned until the end of the current month of April and it is aimed at elaborating the tomatoes derivatives like paste, sauces and juices that are used in other industries such as the Conservas de Frutas (Canning Fruits) and the Vegetales Caribe ones that belong to that territory. “Maida Hernández Rodríguez, director of the 19 de Abril, revealed.
The current season is benefited with the stable contribution of raw material from the fields by the suppliers as a result of the fulfillment of the contracts and the subsequent fulfillment of the industrial one.
“The positive results observed are part of the correct planning carried out between the producers and the industry. Therefore, it is about processing the abundant harvests with the necessary quality that guarantees all the milling production, “Maida added.
By having the necessary agricultural supply, the rest of the working activities are focused on the production. Moreover, the biggest challenge consists in keeping the line of processing with a year of exploitation. Therefore, the daily and programmed maintenances are fulfilled as well as the increase in relation to the training of mechanics and operators.
Operator Osvaldo Rodríguez says that one of his tasks consist in protecting the equipments given it would enable them to have both a longer durability and less ruptures.
