Caribbean Cinema Traveling Exhibition Now in Grenada

Havana, Cuba.- Cuba’s ambassador to Saint George’s, Angel Reigosa de la Cruz, participated in the inauguration of the 3rd Caribbean Cinema Traveling Exhibition in Grenada, held at the Alliance Francaise of that English-speaking country.

During his address to participants, among them Sandra Russo, president of the Alliance Francaise, the diplomat referred to the importance of this initiative for the promotion of Caribbean cinema and audiovisuals in the region and in other parts of the world.

The films included un the Exhibition will be screened this week at the main movie theaters in Grenada and at the Alliance Francaise of Saint George’s, the capital, the Cuban Foreign Ministry’s Web site reports.

Feature films, documentaries, shorts and animated films, with subtitles in English, French and Spanish, will be screened in movie theaters of 31 nations in Latin America and the Caribbean until next year.

With its main office in Havana, the Caribbean Cinema Traveling Exhibition selects each year, according to their quality, the films to be screened, and organizes its presentations in conjunction with the coordinating committees in each country of the region.
