
New actions to boost education of Chinese students at the University of Camaguey (UC), in Cuba , were carried out by directors of both institutions during the visit to that Asian country of a Cuban delegation, headed by Santiago Lajes Choy, rector of the Caribbean university.
Yaile Caballero, UC Director of International Relations, confirmed that as part of the agreements, around 60 young people from the Hebei Foreign Studies University (HFSU) will study one year of the Bachelor's degree in Spanish-Literature at this Cuban center.
Professors from the UC will work on the preparation of Chinese students during their first three years at Hebei University, and then finish their bachelor's degree in our institution, Caballero said.
For their part, the Chinese academics, led by their rector Sun Jhianzong, praised as very positive the proposal of the study plan and highlighted the achievements of the eight UC teachers who, between 2018 and 2019, have taught Spanish at the HFSU.
