Computer Convention to present Cuban progress in computerization

The Convention and International Fair Informatica 2020 will present Cuba's main advances three years after the approval of the Integral Policy for improving the computerization of society, an official from the Ministry of Communications (MINCOM) said.

¨For the digital transformation¨ will be the motto of this edition, to be held March 16-20 at Havana´s Convention Center, where 13 events will take place, Magda Brito, director of computerization of that ministry, told ACN.

Brito, who is also executive secretary of Informatica 2020, noted the meeting is expected to contribute to the exchange of knowledge by including master conferences, panels and round tables with the participation of national and international experts.

The academic program also includes pre-congress classes focusing on current issues such as fourth- and fifth-generation networks, cyber-security and crypto-money, as well as events hosted by the University of Computer Sciences, Jose Antonio Echeverria Technological University and Marta Abreu University, Brito added.

The novelty of this edition is the participation of the non-state sector, through the computer equipment programmer, the executive stated.

Parallel to the Informatica 2020 Convention, an exhibition fair will take place March 17-20, at Pabexpo exhibition center, the perfect place to exhibit and foster projects, technologies, resources, products and services.
