The 11th International Nature Tourism Event, TURNAT 2017, will start today from the Guardalavaca spa resort, about 50 kilometers from the city of Holguin and its activities will extend until the next September 30 in the city of Baracoa in Guantánamo.
Launching of new products, planning strategies that will mark next year the development of this tourist modality in Cuba as well as the strengthening of links with travel agents, airlines, tour operators, connoisseurs, educators and nature lovers will mark the exchange days.
The launch of the Colon, Coffee and Cocoa routes will be one of the most significant moments of the meeting, which contribute to the promotion of the most indigenous values of Cuban and Eastern Cuba culture.
Keynote speeches and signature of agreements will also be added to the presentation of other ecological trails related to diving, nickel, caves and rural communities in a route that will culminate in Punta de Maisì, all under the direction of specialized guides of the Ecotur agency, official receptive of the event.
More than 150 delegates from countries such as the United States, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Spain, China, Costa Rica, Mexico and Cuba are expected to attend.
TURNAT 2017 was held for the first time in 2000 in Viñales, province of Pinar del Río and since then has moved its venues to Matanzas, Cienfuegos, Sancti Spiritus, Villa Clara and in the city of Baracoa in Guantánamo.
