
Cuba and Russia signed a memorandum of understanding on biopharmaceutical matters highly valuable for both countries in the context of the current strategic alliance.
According to the report of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the memorandum was signed on Tuesday between the Director of the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industries Group (BioCubaFarma) Idania Caballero, and the Director of the Mordovia Development and Competitiveness Center, Denis Parshutin.
The two organizations will support the development of innovative products and their marketing in a cooperative way to contribute to the treatment of oncological diseases, neurological, diabetic foot ulcer and other pathologies, the statement explained.
The scientific-technical attaché of the aforementioned Cuban biopharmaceutical group, Adolfo Jose Castillo, and the Counselor of the Cuban Embassy to the Russian Federation, in charge of Education and Science, Gustavo Cobreiro, were also present.
