Cuba Applies Successfully Nuclear Techniques

Cuba applies successfully nuclear techniques in researches aimed at supporting the pharmaceutical industry, especially the branch of biotechnology.
It has been established as a main line of work the application of the abovementioned nuclear techniques at the Isotope Center (CENTIS) that is the main radioactive facility in the nation belonging to the Nuclear Energy Agency and Advanced Technologies (AENTA) of the Science, Technology and Environment Ministry.
The researches carried out that were requested by centers of research and production such as the Molecular Immunology Center (CIM) and the Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Center (CIGB) has allowed completing the previous information before carrying out the clinical trials on the island, thus enabling to complete the files of those products that have already been introduced or will be soon introduced in other nations and markets.
The monoclonal antibody hR3 that is produced in the Molecular Immunology Center, as well as the CIGB300 anti tumor product constitute the leading products of the Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Center.
It is worth saying on the Heberprot product that its usage has received a wide spreading campaign given its novel application in the case of lessons on the foot of patients suffering from diabetes, and specialist from Isotope Center feel really satisfied of having helped in that research.
Diverse research activities have been carried out with those products which have provided with important information about their behavior in experimental models, thus supporting their conceived clinical application. The usage of visual means is within the most outstanding contributions in line with the modern practice.
It is worth highlighting that all the researches carried out have the necessary support and guarantee from the aforementioned centers. It has usually been established a line of work that secures the maximum scientific and ethic rigor aimed at keeping the good work of laboratories.
Since the first applications of the radioisotopes in the biomedical researches, they have become in the main technique of the study in human beings and animals.
Although, the main study, is almost always focused on the development of medicines. It also covers the study of environmental or industrial toxic substances.
At the same time the usage of visual means based on radioisotopes in the clinical diagnostic has been announced, the basic biomedical researches have been taken into consideration to the extent of using these technologies with animals of laboratories.
