During the Fourth Territorial Meeting of Enterpreneurs and Tour-operators of this, it was said that the site made up of Cayo Coco and Guillermo remains a priority in the satisfaction of the visitors, with actions aimed at expressing the Cuban way of being, culture and history.
Luis Armando Frazer, delegate from the Ministry of Tourism in the territory, said that among the new variants to exploit the natural attributes for water activities like diving and fishing, as well as collegial actions depending on honeymoons and family.
He acknowledged the support of all institutions to sustain the development of tourism of peace in a well preserved environment, despite adverse international economic conditions.
The participants evaluated common causes of customer dissatisfaction, like few outside hotel and nightlife options, and set strategies for the coming months, when it takes place the so-called low season.
Several representatives of tour operators recognized the professionalism of workers serving the total hotel capacity of over 3 000 rooms, and the need to bring new products in order not to repeat activities or becoming boring.
Gonzalez Frazer urged to banish inefficiencies and stressed the importance of ensuring the stable presence of fruit and vegetables in the daily menu of hotels, by taking advantage of the province being one of the largest producers of these items in the country.
Lesner Gomez, commercial director of the agency Cubanacan Viajes, highlighted the need of exploiting new added values of the destinations nearby cities and exemplified with the tour “Ciego special”, which doubled in January the number of customers.
