Bruno Rodriguez, Cuba's Minister of Foreign Affairs, expressed condolences to the governments and peoples of Colombia and Ethiopia for the air accidents that occurred during the past weekend, reported the Cubaminrex website.
"Our heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Ethiopia and to the families of the 157 people killed by the air catastrophe, among them citizens of other countries to whom we express sympathy," said the Cuban Foreign Minister in Twitter.
According to news reports, an Ethiopian Airlines aircraft crashed on Sunday, March 10, near Addis Abbeba, the Ethiopian capital, killing 149 passengers and eight crew members.
The head of Cuban diplomacy also sent a similar message after the fall of a plane in Colombia that caused the death of its 14 occupants last Saturday, March 9.
"Condolences to the Government and people of Colombia for the loss of life in the plane crash, which I extend to the families of the victims," wrote Minister Rodríguez.
