Cuba lost 1-2 in their second game against the Sussex County Miners at Skylands Park in the Can-Am Independent Baseball League.

The Caribbean side, which only batted six hits, took the lead in the fourth inning thanks to an RBI-double by catcher Yosvani Alarcon, who was Cuba´s best batter by hitting 2 for 4.

But in the sixth frame the Miners managed to score twice when Jay Baum hit a two-RBI homer off lefty Ulfrido Garcia, who in seven innings and a third surrendered 10 hits, with three strikeouts and two walks.

So far, the Cuban squad has balance of four wins, all against the Trois-Riviers Aigles, and 10 losses.

From today, Cuba will start a subseries of four consecutive games against the New Jersey Jackals at Yogi Berra stadium and the starting pitcher could be right-hander Dachel Duquesne.
