Cuba’s Contemporary Dance Company Charms German Public

HAVANA, Cuba.- The Cuban Contemporary Dance Company made a successful debut at the Movimientos Art Weeks festival, which is underway in the German city of Wolfsburg.
The virtuosity of the company, directed by Miguel A. Iglesias, was revealed to the hundreds of people who packed the Autostadt hall to watch the Cuban dancers in the premiere of the pieces ‘Demo-N/Crazy’ and ‘Mambo 3XXI’.
Attending the performance were local authorities and personalities such as Autostadt CEO Otto F. Wachs and the Cuban ambassador to Berlin, Raul Becerra.
The Cuban Contemporary Dance Company will offer performances during the festival until April 28. Then, they will travel to England, where they will premiere the piece ‘Sombrisa’ at the Royal Theatre of Newcastle as part of a cultural program prior to the London 2012 Olympic Games.
