HAVANA, Cuba. - The day of the anniversary 165 of China's presence in Cuba opens today in this capital with the exhibition by Cuban painter Flora Fong and her children Liang and Li Dominguez, under the name of "China Blood II",.

The exhibition will run through June 3 and is a tour around the main cultural traditions handed down from China to the island, where each canvas revolves around themes such as emigration, idiosyncrasy and sense of belonging to the past.

Hosted by the House of Arts and Traditions Chinese, the institution that sponsors the event, the exhibition becomes a prism of generational thoughts and views on the vitality and permanence of a Chinese art conceived in Cuba.

As reported by the organizing committee to ACN news agency, this selection of paintings will join other art forms as the photo exhibition "The Revolution of 1911", donated by the embassy of that country to Cuba.

During the day also the organizers will also launch the documentary "The longest journey," by filmmaker Rigoberto Lopez, through which he reviews the process that took the first Chinese people to Cuba.

Along with these activities they included theoretical meetings on the bonds with the country's history and the contributions of the input from Chinese communities, which have settlements almost all over the country.

The iconic "Chinatown" will be the venue of choice for most of the activities where music, arts and crafts exhibitions and sports activities will be available to the public.
