The 4th International Conference on Child Protection" (Proinfancia 2020) will be held next May 13-15 at the Hotel Cubanacan Comodoro, in Havana.
The event will bring together professionals and technicians interested in the issue, aimed at fostering the broadest exchange of experiences, the Cuban ministry of foreign affairs' website announced today.
The conference was organized by the Directorates of Children Attention and International Relations of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Cuba, with the sponsorship of UNICEF's office in Cuba.
It is held every three years and has as its precedent the previous international conferences, also carried out in Havana.
This international meeting is an appropriate framework for specialists and researchers to exchange and strengthen cooperation ties in the search for solutions to the competing problems of the comprehensive protection of children and teenagers in their respective countries, as well as to encourage a culture of sharing these issues.
For its part, the UNICEF office in Havana will promote the event through its different offices in the Latin American and Caribbean region and will send invitations to prestigious specialists who are internationally recognized in this field.
