Cuba to Host Second Int’l Conference of Working Youths

HAVANA, Cuba.- The situation of youths around the world, particularly regarding the issue of unemployment, will be one of the main topics to be discussed by participants in the Second International Conference of Working Youths, scheduled for April 29-30 in the Cuban capital.
The event will take place at the venue of the Cuban Workers Confederation (CTC) in Havana with the presence of nearly 200 delegates from 29 countries.
Raymundo Navarro, a member of the CTC National Secretariat, told ACN that the Cuban delegation to the event will be made up of 23 members.
The meeting is convened by the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU) and the delegates will also participate in the national celebrations to mark International Workers’ Day, including the May Day parade scheduled for Havana’s Jose Marti Revolution Square with the attendance of more than half a million people.
