Cuban and US officials held in Washington DC this November 16 the second meeting of the working group on the security of flows of people and goods between the two countries.
The working group met within the framework of the dialogue on the application and enforcement of the law that both parties maintain to coordinate the confrontation of transnational scourges that affect the two countries. The meeting took place in a climate of respect and professionalism, according to a press release by the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Cuban delegation consisted of representatives of the Ministries of the Interior, Foreign Affairs and Transport, the General Customs Office of the Republic and the Institute of Civil Aeronautics of Cuba, while the US delegation was made up of officials from the Departments of Internal Security, Justice and State.
The delegations reviewed the actions carried out during the period and agreed on the importance of continuing bilateral cooperation in this area to ensure that the flows of people and goods take place in the required security climate.
Both parties agreed to continue these technical meetings in the future
