A Cuban Communist Party delegation is currently in Mexico to participate at events organized by the Mexican Labor Party and to take part at the 22nd International Seminar on Political Parties and a New Society.
The deputy chief of the Cuban Communist Party International Relations Office, Jorge Arias, said that the Sixth Theoretical Encounter between the Cuban and the Mexican organizations will take place during two days in which the two parties will take a deeper look into Latin American and Caribbean reality, and discuss the current imperialist offensive and the need for unity among the nations.
The international seminar organized by the Mexican Labor Party is considered the most important meeting after the annual Sao Paulo Forum which gathers left-wing parties of this region and other parts of the world;
The seminar will address the media work as a main topic in contemporary political struggle as well as the economy of knowledge and the change in the production model for the country’s alternative projects; the defense of the region as a zone of peace.
The Cuban delegation is made up of officials with several Communist Central Committee departments, national communist League leaders, and heads of grassroots and solidarity organizations.
