Cuban deputy FM receives advisor to the president of Burkina Faso

Marcelino Medina, Cuban first vice minister of foreign affairs, received Issa Dominique Konate, advisor to the president of Burkina Faso and third vice president of the People's Movement for Progress party.

Both officials stressed the willingness to continue strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation in sectors of common interest for both nations, Medina posted on Twitter.

In recent days, Ana Maria Mari Machado, vice president of the National Assembly of People's Power and the Council of State, also held a meeting with her counterpart from that nation, Benewende Stanislas Sankara, according to the official website of the Cuban Parliament.

Cuba and Burkina Faso established diplomatic relations on Dec. 11, 1975, and since then have maintained fruitful ties of collaboration in health, sports and education.
