Cuban deputy foreign minister exchanges with Serbian authorities

Ana Teresita Gonzalez Fraga, Cuban deputy foreign minister, exchanged today with Serbian parliamentary authorities and Cubans living in that European nation, as well as with her Foreign Ministry counterpart.

Gonzalez Fraga posted on Twitter about the meeting with his Serbian counterpart Ivica Dacic, and wrote: "Positive and warm meeting with the Foreign Minister of #Serbia Ivica Dacic. I was grateful for a long-standing support for the lifting of the U.S. blockade and ratified support for the territorial integrity of Serbia. Serbian FM reaffirmed friendship and solidarity with Cuba."

The Cuban diplomat received the support of the European country in the claim against the US economic, commercial and financial blockade, which has affected Cubans for almost six decades.

For its part, the Cuban Foreign Ministry stated on the same digital platform that: "There are potentialities for the development of mutually beneficial economic and commercial relations between #Cuba and #Serbia, particularly in the pharmaceutical, biotechnological and agricultural sectors.

Gonzalez Fraga arrived in Serbia on Tuesday as the beginning of his official tour of several countries across Europe.

Cuba and Serbia have maintained uninterrupted diplomatic relations since August 30, 1943.
