Cuban Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodriguez, visited the Cuban collaborators in Saint Lucia with whom he hold talks about the strengthening of the blockade imposed by United States.
Rodriguez is making a tour of Caribbean countries, which has already taken him to Trinidad and Tobago, with the objective of strengthening relations.
Recently authorities from Cuba and Saint Lucia extended a cooperation agreement between the respective ministries of the health sector.
This agreement continues the expand bilateral cooperation in the field of public health, which includes, among other aspects, the work of a Cuban medical team here and the operation of an ophthalmological center.
Medical cooperation between Cuba and Saint Lucia turned 18 years last February, while on January 12, 2018 the eye center at Victoria Hospital reached its tenth anniversary.
Sarah Flood, Minister with Responsibility for External Affairs of Saint Lucia, attended the meeting, in which 'we highlight the good state of bilateral relations that are reaching their 40th anniversary this year,' wrote the Foreign Minister.
Rodriguez will also make official visits to Guyana, where he will participate in the VI Caricom-Cuba Ministerial Meeting; and Barbados.
