
The Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel began this Tuesday an official visit to the Republic of Belarus as part of a tour of several European countries, including Ireland and the Russian Federation.
Pavel Utiupin, Belarusian Minister of Industry, received the Cuban President at Minsk International Airport. Diaz-Canel is expected to hold talks with his counterpart Alexander Lukashenko.

Diaz-Canel was greeted with a traditional Slavic ceremony where bread and salt were offered as symbols of welcome.

The Cuban president visits this Tuesday the Great Stone Industrial Park, opened in 2015 and developed within the framework of the China-Belarus intergovernmental cooperation, in which some 50 companies from this European country, China, Russia, Germany, Austria, Lithuania, the United States, Israel and Canada are present.

Diaz-Canel will also attend the 18th Non-Aligned Movement Summit, to be held in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan, on October 25-26.
