Cuban Leuris Pupo, London 2012 Olympic champion, finished fourth in the men´s 25-meter rapid-fire pistol event at the ISSF Rifle/Pistol World Cup running in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, contest which grants points for the world ranking.

“It is a result that allows me to remain in the elite and is also a good warm-up towards the Tokyo Olympics. Now I will continue with the training base in Lima (Peru), where we have excellent conditions,”Pupo told Radio Habana Cuba.

The winner of the event was the Rio 2016 Olympic monarch German Christian Reitz, who scored 34 points in the final, and was escorted by his countryman Oliver Geis (32), while the bronze medal went to Chinese Yue Hong Li (25).
