Cuban Transportation Workers Carrying Out Debates

The investment process for the recovery and modernization of the motor, rail, maritime and airport branches is one of the most often issues discussed in the local assemblies in view of the First Conferences of the National Union of Workers that was scheduled to be held from November 30th through December 1st of this current year in Havana city.

“The related debates in those meetings to be carried out in the workplaces and municipalities were focused on how to meet the clients. “ Reinel Sánchez Guerra, who is a member of the Secretariat from that working organization, said.

Other issues, which are being analyzed, are the impact about the implementation of the local payment systems linked to the results about the increase of the productivity, the efficient use of the related electrical equipment, the fulfillment of the consumption parameter, according to the branch of the equipment and the workers´ incomes.

Reinel Sánchez Guerra added that there were representatives from the taxi drivers, railroad workers, bus workers and civil aviation´s ones, as well as the workers from the workshops, related services and offices.

Reinel Sánchez Guerra announced that the 270 delegates to the first National Conference of the National Union Transportation Workers and there were 179 of them who are from the grass-root level, besides, there had been 27 chosen ones who were members of local workplaces with outstanding results.

Reinel Sánchez Guerra pointed out that there will be 17 workers participating as non-state-run delegates and as non- agricultural cooperative centers at the first Conference of the National Transportation Union Conference.

The member of the secretarial work from that organization said that the process grass-root event concluded successfully and the fact that there were seven municipalities and the same number of provinces that need to conclude the scheduled program prior to the organic meeting.
