 Cuban VP receives Vietnamese Construction Minister

The Vice President of the Council of Ministers, Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz, received Pham Hong Ha, Minister of Construction of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and Co-Chairman of the Intergovernmental Commission, as part of the program of bilateral activities taking place within the framework of the XXXVI Session of the Cuban-Vietnamese Intergovernmental Commission for Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation, held in Havana.

During the meeting they exchanged views on the excellent state of bilateral relations, which was ratified during the recent visit to Vietnam of the President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez.

Both leaders recognized the progress achieved in recent years, highlighting the signing of the new Trade Agreement on the occasion of the visit of the Cuban President to Vietnam, as well as the implementation of important investment projects with Vietnamese capital in Cuba and cooperation in the agri-food sector.

Pham Hong Ha was accompanied by the Vietnamese Ambassador to Cuba, Nguyen Trung Than and other senior leaders of the Vietnamese Party and Government. Also present on the Cuban side were Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz, Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment (MINCEX), Emilio Lozada García, Director General of Bilateral Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Vilma Sánchez Sempé, Director of Trade Policy with Asia and Oceania of MINCEX.
