Díaz Canel arrives in Venezuela to attend Maduro inauguration

The President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, arrived in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to participate in the swearing-in ceremony for the re-election of Constitutional President Nicolás Maduro Moros, legitimately re-elected by the Venezuelan people on May 20, 2018.

During his stay Diaz-Canel will express the solidarity and support of the Cuban people and government to comrade Maduro in his new mandate at the head of the Venezuelan government and to the civil-military union of the Bolivarian people.

The occasion will be propitious to reaffirm the excellent relations existing between the peoples and governments of Venezuela and Cuba.

Accompanying the Cuban leader are the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, and the Cuban ambassador to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Rogelio Polanco Fuentes.
