The President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, received on Tuesday afternoon comrade Hoang Trung Hai, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Vietnam and secretary of the Party in Hanoi, invited by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba.
During his stay the Vietnamese leader will carry out an extensive work program, which includes meetings with party leaders and social organizations, as well as visits to historical and socioeconomic places of interest.
In an atmosphere of sincere friendship, they discussed the special brotherly relations between the two countries and stressed that these ties constitute an enduring legacy of leaders Fidel Castro Ruz and Ho Chi Minh. Both parties also ratified the interest in continuing to deepen the historic ties that unite the two parties, governments and peoples.
Comrade Hoang Trung Hai was accompanied by Nguyen Trung Thanh, ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Havana, and Nguyen Quoc Hung, member of the Provincial Bureau of the Party and vice-president of the Hanoi People's Committee.
On the Cuban side were present Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, member of the Political Bureau and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Ángel Arzuaga Reyes, deputy head of the International Relations Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party.
