Domestic Idiosyncrasy and Foreign One before Critical Awareness
José Martí represented the highest level of the Latin American political way of thinking during the 19th century, and that political thought appeared dispersed in his wide bibliography which is observed within the agitated words of his handwriting which keeps their validity to date. However, the highest level about his significant intellectual production were the warnings in relation to an enigmatic Latin America that was then being attracted by the false proposals from North America , thus the necessity of assuming its own vision in defense of its independence.

The existence of centuries of European colonialism applied against nations of the young continent was a dead end and a model that was useless in order to achieve an independent future. The hindrances within the economic actions to be used for the social service in the new nations made them to disappear given that the true independence did not exist in those nations. It was then the hard reality of that situation that had been warned by José Martí.

The bitter experience was contained in the European colonialism within its past, however, it was unfortunately being gradually incremented and waiting for the new Latin American horizon. It was then a time in which ambitions for the South American nations were everywhere, especially from the United States that was focused on limiting the process of the true freedom already conquered by their own liberators.

The core of the daily problem, at that moment, was essential for the future. It was then necessary to have a new force like that one contained in the critical awareness of the new and young nations of Latin America so that they could learn to rule by themselves. That type of enigma was considered by José Martí as a key factor when he highlighted that the aforementioned nations had to remove the former colonialist mechanisms and the false proposals sent from the United States that constituted its neo-colonialist model and type of weapons featured by its allegedly superiority and underestimation towards the nations from the South mainland.

In dissimilar journalist articles written by José Martí he clearly highlighted that such weapons were going to be used by the aforementioned future enemies in order to steal the destiny of the young and sister Latin American nations and that is the reason Marti’s articles and words were in abundance in rostrums and on pages of the Patria daily given the urgent necessity at that moment that each of those young nations could have the possibility to rule by themselves.

To have a better vision about such warnings, the advice contained on those pages written by José Martí made clear the necessity about taking into consideration their own realities so that not to lose their new path at that moment. The intrinsic wealth in each of those peoples, their customs and wide culture were the necessary vision that might be taken into account by them proudly for their future. Therefore, the necessity to be original ones and not a copy from other ruling model, as Martí wrote and said many times, was the key for success, which meant to rule by themselves taking into consideration their own idiosyncrasy in Latin America.

The new Latin American nations treasured the cultural richness accumulated through their own chronological time and existence. Therefore, they had to resemble to their own deities instead of to their foreign neighbors that pretended to limit their new realities forever, so, that might be the real goal or model to be followed by the new Latin American nations.
