After more than two months of absence due to the necessary restrictions by the COVID-19, the pre-season of the Japanese Professional Baseball League (NPB) will begin tomorrow with the presence of four Cuban baseball players.
The pitchers Yariel Rodriguez and Raidel Martinez, along with pitcher Ariel Martinez, will play at the Dragones de Chunichi club.
Left-handed reliever Livan Moinelo is the only one of the three Cuban baseball players who could potentially play tomorrow with the SoftBank Falcons, as sluggers Alfredo Despaigne and Yurisbel Gracial, considered the MVP of last season in the NPB, are still in Cuba.
All of these pre-season games will be based in the Tokyo and Osaka regions, to avoid the risk of team contagion.
The Japanese League will officially start next 19th behind closed doors, and all the teams are practicing to face the competition in the best possible way.
