Ghanaian Parliament Speaker Meets with Cuban Five Relatives

HAVANA, Cuba. - Ghana’s Parliament Speaker Joyce Adelina Bamford-Addo met this Thursday with relatives of the five Cuban antiterrorists serving unjust sentences in the United States.
In the meeting the Ghanaian leader asked the relatives on the current situation of René González, Fernando González, Antonio Guerrero, Ramón Labañino and Gerardo Hernández. She said the Ghanaian people and government support their cause, and demand the US to immediately release them.
She said they carry out activities to show their solidarity with the Cuban Five, as they are known internationally, and have joined the international campaign that demands their freedom.
On behalf of the Cuban Five´s relatives, Magali Llort, Fernando´s mother, briefed the legislator on the particularities of each of the Five and thanked her for the support. She said that the best weapon to achieve their release is the international solidarity.
Bamford-Addo and the delegation that accompanies her is in an official visit that includes touring economic, cultural and political institutions as well as metings with government officials.
