In Osvaldo Guayasamín house: The silent objects

During a month, “Osvaldo Guayasamín” house from the historical center of Havana, will keep open to people the exposition “The silent objects”, of the Cuban plastic artist Óscar Junior Rodríguez, as homage to the Painter of Ibero-America in the 20th anniversary of his death.

The author stated that the sample transits essentially by nostalgia, -according to his own words- almost an obsession in his work, and an indispensable way of life. “Nostalgia- he said- is present in every moment in all people”.

The Cuban plastic artist Óscar Junior Rodríguez commented that nostalgia will appear always in his work, every time that it results a constitutive feeling of him. “If art is not transformed in a way of life -he expressed- there is no way of assuming it with sincerity”.
