Last Group of Olympic Delegation Arrives in Cuba

Under a persistent rain, the last group of the Cuban delegation that participated in the 2012 London Olympic Games arrived in the country last night.
“Receive all the love, admiration and a brotherly hug on behalf of the people, that vibrated with each performance, which saw you compete as titans in a very complex scenario," told them Miguel Diaz-Canel, member of the Politburo and vice president of the Council of Ministers, who received from the hands of two-time Olympic champion wrestler Mijain Lopez the Cuban banner.
“ We should feel dissatisfied while recognizing the achievements, there are still many untapped potentials and we need to make a wise analysis among all concerned for the future of Cuban sport to be victorious, said Diaz-Canel, reported today Granma newspaper.
Robeisy Ramirez, the youngest star, 18, spoke of the pride they felt to earn Cuba a place among the greats again.
Christian Jimenez, president of the Cuban National Institute of Sports, Recreation and Physical Education (INDER by its Spanish acronym) noted that: "You have starred in a feat of high honor and courage in the midst of the Games with very high competitive level. As always we are still not fully satisfied and will work on teh deficiencies in the face of 2016 Rio de Janeiro."
At the reception were also Olga Lidia Tapia, member of Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist party, and Jose Ramon Fernandez, head of the Cuban Olympic Committee, among other sports officials.
