More Students to Begin Degrees in Ciego de Ávila

Ciego de Ávila, Cuba.- The correct training received by the students and the teaching staff of the twelfth grade in that Cuban province enabled that more than 600 students, which is a number that is higher than the one registered last year, wanted to start university degrees.
The main actions that were carried out to reach the abovementioned results include the teachers´ training, the necessary and proper teaching aids for the students, as well as the support given by diverse political and mass organizations in that territory.
Lázaro Padrón Pereira, chief of the Provincial Senior High School Education department, said to Radio Rebelde station that there was a higher presence of students which enabled that one thousand and two hundred students could do the university entrance examinations. Besides, there have been 636 scholar holders who have already been granted their university degrees.
