HAVANA, Cuba.- A chat line on the creation, promotion, teaching and research of Cuban music was opened on Monday, with texts by experts in this artistic expression.

This forum, conceived by the Cuban Music Institute and Cubarte, begins after the closing of this year’s edition of Cubadisco –the island’s annual International Record Fair and Contest-, which wound up on Sunday, and that on this occasion highlighted the contribution made by country music to the nation’s music sounds.

The organizers of the forum have planned a special session in which personalities from this sector can contribute their ideas and considerations, points out a press release by Cubarte.

The Web site, called “La musica cubana de hoy y de siempre” (Cuban Music of All Time), is available by writing, from where it’s possible to make comments and suggestions and ask questions.
