New Cuban Equipment Presented at Anesthesiology Congress

The possibilities of the Relax Viewer equipment, which is a neuromuscular monitor for relaxation created in Cuba, were explained as part of the scientific sessions of the XI Anesthesiology Congress which held session in Havana city.

The president of the Scientific Committee of the event, PhD, Idoris Cordero, highlighted that the device is an additional method for the specialists so that they could monitor the patient’s safety.

Nevertheless, Idoris Cordero pointed out that the American Anesthesiology Society does not describe that monitor as one of the important standards for the patient’s safety.

The Cuban expert considered that equipment as an important part of the surgery process, taking into account the fact that if the muscular relaxation lasted even out of the surgery room, then the patient could have complications.
