As part of his official activities in Ireland, the President of the Republic Miguel Diaz-Canel held talks on Monday with Cubans living in that European nation.

The president told attendees that "we are all the motherland, and it is necessary to continue defending the nation," as well as addressing issues of national current affairs during the exchange.

The Cuban president began this Sunday an official tour of European countries that includes Ireland, the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation, which will conclude with his participation in the 18th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement, to be held in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan, on October 25-26.
