The Italian University of Basilicata awarded today to the Historian of Havana, Eusebio Leal Spengler, the degree of Honoris Causa Research Doctor in Cities and Landscapes: Architecture, Archaeology, Cultural Heritage, History and Resources.
Magda Resik, Director of Communications of the Office of the Historian of Havana, and Jorge Luis Alfonzo, Minister Counselor of the Cuban Embassy to Italy, received the award on behalf of the renowned Cuban intellectual.
During the ceremony held at the Aula Magna of the most important center of higher education in Basilicata, southern Italy, Resik praised the figure and work of Leal, expressed in the uniqueness of the restoration process of Havana's historic center, which is renowned worldwide.
