Ramiro Valdes presides over analysis on medicaments in Granma

BAYAMO, Cuba.- Commander of the Revolution Ramiro Valdes, vice-president of the councils of State and Ministers, presided over on Friday in this city the analysis carried out on measures to stabilize the production of medicaments.
Valdes, also a Politburo member, met with executives of national and territorial entities involved in the production and commercialization of medicines at two important factories in the city of Bayamo, the Pharmaceutical Laboratory of Oral Liquids -the only Cuban industry producing drops syrups, solutions and suspensions- and the Abihail Gonzalez factory, which produces powdered milk for babies and supplements for pregnant women and against anemia.
Measures to eliminate arrears, stabilize the flow of production, and guarantee preventive maintenance and investments scheduled were suggested during the meeting.
Valdes insisted on the need to improve work and technological discipline and consolidate collective responsibility with the quality and quantity of productions, as established by the guidelines approved by the 6th Congress of the Cuban Communist Party (PCC).
The Commander of the Revolution visited the two centers, accompanied by Sonia Perez, first secretary of the PCC in Granma province; Manuel Sobrino, president of the territory’s Assembly of the People’s Power, and other leaders.
