On the eve of the 52nd anniversary of the assassination of Commander Ernesto Che Guevara, the city of Santa Clara will live on October 7 an intense cultural day, which will bring together artists and creators of the territory in a unanimous song against the blockade and aggressions of the US government to Cuba.
The so-called supertanque of the arts will have the Vidal Park as a key stage, there will parade, from 9 in the morning until 11 at night, groups of children's theater, sudden, writers, folk companies, and books will be sold.
Present will be also the Hermanos Saíz Association, with rock, hip hop and electronic music groups. Protagonism will also assume the artists of the plastic, who throughout the day will work on the creation of a mural with the theme ´against the blockade.´
Eliot Porta, coordinator of the initiative, summarizes the feelings of the creators involved in stating that it is a contribution, from culture, to this moment of contingency in the country.

For his part, Ramón Silverio, director of the El Mejunje Cultural Center, another of the main venues, told the press that what will never be missing will be guitars and committed artists, which makes Giselle's work and a show available to children of varieties by the theater company of the center itself. The local Arrancame la vida and Strangers at night spaces, common in their programming, are also incorporated into the mejunjera proposal for this day.
"Even if we lack the electric current, or rain in the pitchers, here we will be giving our people the best of our culture that much is lacking at the moment," said who holds the national awards of Community Culture and Youth Teacher.
In addition to the initiative, the House of Orientation to Women and the Family will open the cultural itinerary of the day with the Cuban project, which will dialogue with Mayelín Díaz Rodríguez, secretary of the FMC in Villa Clara, and will be accompanied by the Provincial Choir and the Vocal Ensemble Muses.
