HAVANA, Cuba.- Cuban President Raul Castro arrived this morning in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to participate in the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development Rio plus 20.

This conference is a follow-up of the 1992 Earth Summit and other high level meetings on sustainable development that have taken place in the last 20 years.

Raul heads the Cuban delegation to Rio plus 20 that includes Miguel Díaz-Canel, Vice-President of the Council of Ministers, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez and the Minister of Science, Technology and Environment Elba Rosa Perez.
