Why did the invasion to Playa Girón region take place? Which was then the response from the Cuban people?
These questions will be surely answered by many Cuban parents during these days, even when the Week of Victory is providing a well-deserved time off to their children.
As a matter of fact, the teaching process of history and the deep analysis of local events or those ones nationwide reinforced the love for one´s nation while it is learned to love our culture. Therefore, it is that the way that values and their education that is focused on the patriotic and citizen formation constitutes a prioritized goal for the Ministry of Education during the current academic year.
Teachers have nowadays enough educational aids to teach the contents in an attractive and pleasant way like the software that are part of the collection on the homeland´s history, among others, Miriam Egea, chief of the Marxism-Leninism and history of MINED, explained to Radio Rebelde news station.
We have nowadays the possibility of using interactive exercises, didactic games and numerous software like the ones named El incendio de Bayamo, La invasion de Camilo y Che, El brindis de Maceo en el Hotel Venus, Cuba y sus símbolos patrios as well as other ones that are part of the contents of the book published by the San Luis publishing house entitled Por qué la Revolución Cubana o la verdadera historia de Fulgencio Batista, which makes reference through images and brief messages about the period before January 1959.
“There is a daily challenge in the classrooms; the teachers’ interest and the previous preparation of their lessons guarantee the desired result: The fact that the students could feel interested, motivated by the contents and being able to learn.”
“In order to reach the students’ sensibility as well as making them to feel interested, talk to their family and classmates so that they do not feel fully satisfied with the lesson, thus making them to feel curious and interested in reading and visiting historical places.” Miriam Egea pointed out.
The improvement of the teaching-learning process covers the theme on human values through local subjects such as El mundo en que vivimos, Educación cívica, Cultura política, marxismo leninismo and Encuentros con la historia de mi patria. By Dailyn Ruano Martínez
