The local Cubaebergía department, the Tecchnical Ozone office (OTOZ) and the Pionero magazine invite the public to participate in the contest entitled Protegemos la capa de ozono (we protect the ozone layer, literally) by celebrating the 30 th anniversary of the Montreal Protocol, the 32nd anniversary of the Vienna Convention and the 22nd anniversary of the creation of the OTOZ institute of Cuba.
The primary students, who are part of the local José Martí Pioneer Organization, can participate through the Poetry, rural song, stories, songs, research, comedy, didactic games, handicrafts and computing programs (webpage, multimedia or videogames).
The participants should show somehow the importance of the ozone layer for the life on earth through their works, including the related actions that are being developed by Cuba to protect it or even what could be done by the local primary pioneers to favor the preservation of that protective shield of our plant and so on.
Each work should show the following data about the author or authors: their names and surnames, current academic year, name and address of their school, private address and phone number.
The related works should be sent to Pionero Magazine (Protegemos la Capa de Ozono Contest) at 553 Prado Street on Teniente Rey corner, Old Havana, Zip Code 10200.
The closing date will be on August 15th of the current year. A jury with a specialist of the OTOZ and the Pionero Magazine will determine the winners and their named will be announced on September 16 th, on the International Protection of the Ozone Layer Day as part of the meeting for that anniversary.
