Theater Proposals to the Dominican Republic

The many times awarded Teatro de las Estaciones group will be part of the Tenth Latin American Theater Festival for Childhood and Youth #FITIJ2019 that has been taking place in the Dominican Republic, along with the presentation of the plays entitled´La niña que riega la albahaca´ and ´El príncipe preguntón.´
The event included related groups from Colombia, Cuba, Spain, Uruguay and the host nation.
The theater productions of that group from Matanzas province were programmed for Wednesday and Thursday in early November at the Ravelo Room of the National Theater.
According to the theoretical sessions´program, Rubén Darío Salazar, who is the director of the Estaciones Play, carried out the workshop entitled´ Vamos a diseñar un personaje´ that is directed by professors of that specialty.
The actor, playwright and director of the Festival, Basilio Nova, announced that it was received a total of 187 requests to participate by professional Theater groups from all over the world which desired to take their art to the abovementioned event and sharing it with the Dominican audience.
“Certainly, this makes us to be committed to keep working on the culture through the theater.” He highlighted.
The official event´s webpage indicated the FITIC is a project by the local CÚCARA-MÁCARA Theater in order to be used as a convergence space by related Theater groups, artists, critics and Latin American play writers of the Theater for children and young people in which experiences are exchanged, as well as related visions, techniques, aesthetics, poetic scenes, performing arts and interdisciplinary researches about the dramaturgical composition in the current globalization era.
