Cubans Lazaro Blanco, Yordan Manduley and Yurisbel Gracial, who play for the Quebec Capitales in the Canadian-American Baseball League (Can-Am), reached the final of that tournament, which starts next Tuesday.
The Capitales beat in three consecutive games the Sussex County Miners in the semifinal play-off to get their ticket to the grand final.
Third baseman Gracial was decisive in the 4-2 win in the first match when batting three hits, including a walk-off double to drive in two runs in the bottom of the tenth inning.
Right-hander pitcher Blanco, chosen as best pitcher of the tournament, was the starter of that same game and allowed two runs and five hits, with 8 strikeouts and no walks, in six and a third innings.
The Capitales' opponent will be the Rockland Boulders, who defeated 3-1 the New Jersey Jackals in the other semifinal.
Overall in the post season, Gracial, chosen as the best third baseman in the league, has batted 5 for 12, including three doubles, for a batting average of .417.
Meanwhile, SS Manduley, also member of the All-Star Team, bats 3 for 12, with a double and two walks, for BA of .250.
