The top leader of the Democratic Peopley´s Republic of Korea (DPRK), Kim Jong-un, arrived by train on Tuesday in the eastern city of Vladivostok, where he will meet with his Russian peer, Vladimir Putin, on Thursday.
According to sources close to the high-level meeting, Kim will travel on his armored train on the Ussurik-Vladivostok trans-Siberian railroad.
At Thursday's meeting, the two leaders will review the state of bilateral relations and the issues related to the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, Kremlin's spokesman, Dmitri Peskov, said on Monday.
Sources quoted by the newspaper Kommersant pointed out that the talks, to be held in the campus of the Federal University of Vladivostok, on the island of Rusky, will also deal with economic-commercial relations between the two countries.
Bilateral trade decreased 56 percent in late 2018, to 34 million dollars.
