Turkish Foreign Minister Begins Visit to Cuba

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Mevlut Cavusoglu, is arriving in Cuba on Friday on an official visit.

The head of the Turkish diplomacy will be received by Cuban National Peoples' Power Assembly (Parliament) President Esteban Lazo.

Cavusoglu also expects to meet with his Cuban peer Bruno Rodriguez, who carried out an official visit to Turkey in 2017. Cuba and Turkey are celebrating 67 years of diplomatic relations and share political positions on issues such as the condemnation of the U.S. blockade against the island and respect for the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of Venezuela.
