 US. Congressman highlights the Cuban Health Approach as a Human Right

The Democrat Congressman, Danny Davis, considered that Cuba has known to apply the concept on health as a human right and taking into practice that principle, at the same time.

In the middle of a related debate about the healthcare system in the United States, the representative of Illinois said to Prensa Latina news station that the theme always has been of his interest and sees it as a matter of human right and not a privilege.

Danny Davis said that Cuba had not only known embraced that concept but also it has been able to implement it and he recalled the fact about having had wonderful experiences in that medical area, during some of his travels to the Caribbean nation.

Danny Davis pointed out that Cuba has had a high level of fulfilment in relation to the public healthcare and he added that if Cuba can do it, then the United Stated should be able to do it, too.
